Week 1

ओंकारं बिन्दुसंयुक्तं नित्यं ध्यायन्ति योगिनः ।
कामदं मोक्षदं चैव ओंकाराय नमो नमः ॥ Audio

The yogis constantly meditate upon the 'Omkara' or the 'pranava', which fulfills all desires and bestows salvation. Salutations to the Omkara.

Week 2

गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुः गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः ।
गुरुः साक्षात् परं ब्रह्म तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः ॥ Audio

Salutations to the preceptor, who is Brahma (The Lord of Creation), Vishnu (The Lord of Sustenance) and Shiva (The Lord of Destruction) incarnate. The preceptor is verily the supreme entity which holds together all creation.

Week 3

गुरुरेव गतिः गुरुमेव भजे गुरुणैव सहास्मि नमो गुरवे ।
न गुरोः परमं शिशुरस्मि गुरोः मतिरस्ति गुरौ मम पाहि गुरो ॥ Audio

The guru is my sole refuge. I worship my guru. I am always with my guru. Salutations to the guru. There is none higher than the guru. I am a child of my guru. My intellect is firmly fixed on the guru. Oh preceptor! Protect me.

[Note: This is a verse which uses all seven cases (vibhaktis) of the word 'guru', in order]

Week 4

कार्तस्वरनिभदेहः कीर्तनमात्रेण धूतसकलाघः ।
आर्तस्वरजनशरणं मूर्तदायारूप गुरुवरेण्यो व्यात् ॥ Audio

Let the revered preceptor, who has a body lustrous with a golden hue, who is the refuge for people in distress, and who is mercy incarnate, protect me. All sins are driven away by the mere chanting of his name.

 

Week 5

सदात्मध्याननिरतं विषयेभ्यः पराङ्मुखम् ।
नौमि शास्त्रेषु निष्णातं चन्द्रशेखरभारतीम् ॥ Audio

I bow down to the the revered Chandrashekhara Bharathi, who is constantly engaged in meditation upon the self, who is averse to sense-objects, and who is well-versed in all shaastras.

 

Week 6

ऋष्यशृङ्गपुराधीशं तुङ्गातीरनिवासिनम् ।
भक्तामोदप्रदं वन्दे विद्यातीर्थमहं गुरुम् ॥ Audio

I bow down to my preceptor, sri Vidyateertha, who is the master of Sringeri, who has his abode on the banks of river Tunga, and who delights his devotees.

 

Week 7

भारतीतीर्थवर्यं तं भक्तहृत्तापनाशनम् ।
भवभीतिहरं देवं भावये सततं हृदि ॥ Audio

In my heart, I constantly meditate upon Sri Bharatitirtha, who destroys the miseries of devotees, and who removes the fear of the mortal world.

 

Week 8

शुक्लाम्बरधरं विष्णुं शशिवर्णं चतुर्भुजम् ।
प्रसन्नवदनं ध्यायेत् सर्वविघ्नोपशान्तये ॥ Audio

For the removal of all obstacles, One should meditate on Lord Ganesha, who is wearing white robes, is omnipresent, whose body resembles the hue of the Moon, who has four hands, and a smiling face.

 

Week 9

अगजाननपद्मार्कं गजाननमहर्निशम् ।
अनेकदं तं भक्तानामेकदन्तमुपास्महे ॥ Audio

We constantly worship Lord Ganesha, who is like a Sun to the the lotus-like face of Parvathi, who bestows many things upon his devotees, and who has the face of an elephant with a single tusk.

 

Week 10

वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय कोटिसूर्यसमप्रभ ।
अविघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा ॥ Audio

Oh Lord with a curved trunk and a mighty body! One who has the magnificance of a million suns! Please remove all obstacles from my works always.
